4K streaming on selected content is available on Hubbl if you’re subscribed to a tier that supports 4K on the app you’re trying to stream.
For example, if you’re subscribed to BINGE Standard or Premium, you’ll have access to selected 4K content across BINGE . If you’re subscribed to BINGE Basic, you won’t have access to 4K as Basic does not support 4K viewing.
To watch content in 4K on Hubbl Glass, you’ll need:
- To be on the relevant subscription type that supports streaming in 4K
- A steady broadband speed of at least 25Mbps
- To ensure the title you’ve selected is available in 4K.
How will I know which titles are available in 4K?
If you’re subscribed to the app and subscription type that’s supported for 4K viewing, when you select a title that’s available in 4K, you should see a “4K” badge on the program information/synopsis screen.
If you’re seeing a “HD” badge, that means you’re either not on the relevant subscription type for that app to stream in 4K, or that specific title is not available to stream in 4K.
How do I update the streaming format?
To manage the default format the device streams in:
- Scroll down to Settings from the home screen or, using the remote control’s Voice feature, say “Settings”.
- Select Picture & Sound.
- Scroll down and select Picture.
- Scroll down to Default streaming format.
- Select the format that suits you.
Note: By default, the streaming format will be set to “Auto”. This selects the best available quality, depending on whether 4K is included in your subscription type and if your TV is 4K-compatible. This setting only applies to Kayo Sports or BINGE, on-demand content.
