You can access free-to-air live TV channels through the Hubbl Hub via a TV aerial if you have an existing connection, or by signing in to the free-to-air apps.

Setting a channel source
You can change the way a certain channel is broadcast by setting it to either:
- terrestrial (using a free-to-air aerial if you have an existing connection), or
- internet (by logging in to the free-to-air app for that channel)
You may need to do this if you’re having trouble receiving a certain free-to-air channel via terrestrial, for example. By changing the source for that channel to ‘Internet’, the channel will broadcast via your broadband rather than an existing aerial.
How do I set a channel source?
- Navigate to Settings from the home screen.
- Select Local Channels.
- With the Channel source option selected, select Set channel source.
- From here, you’ll see a list of local channels.
Note: To the right of the channel name, the delivery source for that channel will display. The current selected source will be bolded. If a channel source is set to terrestrial, a live preview of that channel will display to show it’s receiving signal. You’ll also see the signal quality, strength and frequency. - While a channel is highlighted, press right on the remote and press select on either Terrestrial or Internet.
- Press the Back button on the remote to return to Settings.
Note: Only selected free-to-air channels are available via the internet.
Accessing free-to-air channels via an existing aerial
If you didn’t set this up through the guided set-up, or you’ve moved the location of the device, you may need to rescan your free-to-air channels.
How do I perform an aerial scan?
- Navigate to Settings from the home screen or by using voice search.
- Select Local Channels.
- With the Aerial Scan option selected, select Begin scan.
- The device will attempt to scan channels.
- When successful, you’ll have the option to Set Channel Source or Scan Again.
Note: Setting Channel Source allows you to set whether a local channel broadcasts directly from your aerial or via the Internet from the respective free-to-air app. For example, you may set the channel source for Channel 9 to Internet because your aerial has trouble picking it up. - Press the Back button on the remote to get back to Settings. If you’re seeing an error message or the scan wasn’t successful, click here for free-to-air troubleshooting.
Accessing free-to-air channels via apps
You can watch live TV channels by signing in to the individual free-to-air apps (7plus, 9Now, 10Play, ABC iview and SBS On Demand). Once you’ve signed in, the main channels for that app will be available via the Hubbl TV Guide. You can also launch the individual free-to-air apps to access the channels.
