Closed Captions
Note: Captions will only be displayed on content that support captions. A ‘CC’ icon will display if captions are available. Some apps may have their own caption settings that need to be turned on.
How do I turn Closed Captions on or off?
- Navigate to Settings from the home screen or by using voice search.
- Select Accessibility .
- Select Closed Captions and press Select to toggle the setting between On and Off .
Or, you can toggle Closed Captions on or off while watching content:
- Press the ...(three dots) button on the Hubbl remote.
- Scroll across to Closed Captions.
- Press the Select button to toggle between Off and English (to turn on).
Note:When turning Closed Captions on via … (three dots options menu), captions will only apply to what you’re currently watching and will reset to the default settings when you watch something else (except when auto-playing the next episode of a series).
Can I turn Closed Captions on or off using Voice Control?
Yes, just say “ OK Hubbl, turn Closed Captions on/off ”.
How do I know which programs in the TV Guide have Closed Captions?
Programs in the TV Guide that have Closed Captions available can be highlighted by following the below steps:
- From the home screen, scroll down to Settings .
- Select Accessibility .
- Select Highlight programs and scroll across to select Closed Captions .
Audio Description
Note: Audio Description is only available for selected free-to-air content if you've plugged in an aerial cable.
How do I turn Audio Description on?
- From the home screen, scroll down to Settings.
- Select Accessibility .
- Toggle Audio description on.
Or, if you’re already watching a show or movie, follow the below steps:
Note: This process will only enable Audio Description if you’re already watching content. To enable Audio Description from the home screen, follow the steps above.
- Press the ... (three dots options menu) button on the Hubbl remote.
- Press the right button two times and press Select to turn Audio Descriptions on.
Once Audio Description has been turned on, it’ll stay on for any shows or channels that has it available, until you turn it off.
